Privacy policy

What the game collects, who else receives it, and how to get rid of all of it.

Last updated 9 October 2026 · Applies to the game Commander_OS on Google Play and the App Store (com.tentaculo.commanderos), made by Tentaculo, and to nothing else.

The short version

  • There is no account and no sign-in. We never ask for your name, email or password.
  • Your progress is saved on your device only. We do not have a copy.
  • Ads use device identifiers, handled by Google AdMob.
  • We measure how the game is played — runs, sectors, screens, choices, offers — with Google Analytics for Firebase, under a random id for the install. Never your name or email.
  • The Remove Ads purchase is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your card.
  • Uninstalling the game erases everything it saved.

What the game collects

WhatWhy
Your progress Units, upgrades, achievements, data bits and settings. Stored on your device and never sent to us.
What you bought Whether you own Remove Ads. Kept by Google Play or the App Store, which the game asks when it starts.
Device identifiers Including the advertising identifier, used by Google AdMob to show ads, limit how often you see them and measure them. On iPhone it is only available if you allow tracking when asked.
Approximate location Estimated by Google AdMob from your internet address, to choose ads suited to your country. Never your precise location.
Ad interactions and diagnostics Which ads were shown or tapped, and crash and performance data from the ad software. If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (Google) receives a crash report: the stack trace (where in the code it failed), device model, system version, app version, the time, and a random Crashlytics id for this install — never your name or email. Used only to find and fix crashes; Google keeps crash reports for 90 days.
How the game is played Measured with Google Analytics for Firebase, so faults can be found and the game balanced: sessions and time played, the screens you open, and game events (a run or a sector starting and ending, with the sector reached, the time it took, how it ended and what took you down, the unit you play, the upgrades you pick, units unlocked, data bits earned and spent, the retry and daily-reward offers and your answers, videos watched, Remove Ads purchases, achievements), in-game error messages, plus app version, device model, system version, language and approximate country. Filed under a random id for this install of the app, never under your name or email (the game has neither). Google Analytics deletes the detailed events after at most 14 months.

The game does not ask for your location, your contacts, your photos, your microphone or your camera, and it holds no permission that would let it.

When the game starts it downloads a small settings file from our own server, tentaculogames.pt, and it may also download pictures of our other games from it. Like any web server, it sees the internet address of the request. No identifier is sent with it, and we do not use it to recognise you.

Who else receives it

Nothing is sold by us, and nothing is handed to anyone not on this list.

Ads, and your choice about them

The game shows a banner ad and offers optional videos you can watch in exchange for rewards. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom a consent screen appears before any ad is requested, and what you choose there decides whether ads are personalised. To answer it again, use Options → Ad Privacy.

On iPhone, the game also asks whether it may track you. If you say no, ads are still shown but are not personalised with your advertising identifier. You can change this at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

The same answer governs measurement. Until the consent screen has been answered, the game sends no measurement data at all — it starts switched off and is turned on only by your reply. Where the consent screen applies, measurement keeps an identifier on your phone only if you allowed storing information on your device; if you did not, it sends only counts with no identifier attached. If you change your answer under Options → Ad Privacy, measurement follows it. Test builds of the game send nothing.

On Android you can reset or delete the advertising identifier in Settings → Privacy → Ads.

Buying Remove Ads removes the banner. Reward videos stay available, and are always your choice.

Getting rid of it

Uninstall the game. Your progress only ever existed on your device, so it goes with the app. We hold no account for you to delete, so there is nothing for us to delete on request.

Your Remove Ads purchase stays with the Google or Apple account that bought it. Data held by Google AdMob is kept under Google's own policies; resetting your advertising identifier breaks its link to your device. The gameplay measurement held by Google Analytics is filed under a random id for the install, not under anything that points to you, so we cannot pick out yours; Google deletes it after at most 14 months.

Children

The game is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything about them.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can ask what we hold, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used. One email does any of them, free of charge. For this game the answer is usually that we hold nothing that points to you: nothing leaves your device except what goes to Google and the app stores, and the gameplay measurement, which carries only a random id for the install.

Changes

If what the game collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
