Privacy policy

What the game collects, who else receives it, and what you can do about it.

The short version

  • There is no account and no sign-in. We never ask for your name, email or phone number.
  • Your best score is saved on your phone.
  • The game shows ads from Google AdMob, which uses device identifiers.
  • We measure how the game is played — runs, scores, screens — with Google Analytics for Firebase, under a random id for the install. Never your name or email.
  • There are no purchases in the game.

What stays on your phone

Your best score is saved in the game's own storage on your device. Uninstalling the game, or clearing its storage in Android's settings, deletes it.

How the game is played: Google Analytics for Firebase

So that faults can be found and the game balanced, the game measures how it is played with Google Analytics for Firebase:

WhatWhy
Sessions When the game is opened, for how long it is played, and whether players come back.
Game events Each run starting and ending, with its score, distance, length, number of taps, what ended it and whether it set a new best, plus how many runs you have played and your best score; the screens you open; the game's speed on your phone; and in-game error messages.
Device and app App version, device model, system version, language and approximate country.

All of it is filed under a random id for this install of the game, never under your name or email. Google processes it for us, as our processor, under the Google Analytics terms, and deletes the detailed events after at most 14 months.

Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics

If the app crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (Google, as our processor) receives a crash report: the stack trace (where in the code it failed), device model, system version, app version, the time, and a random Crashlytics id for this install — never your name or email. It is used only to find and fix crashes, and Google keeps crash reports for 90 days.

What Google AdMob collects

The game shows a banner at the bottom of the screen and, now and then, a full-screen ad between rounds. To serve and measure those ads, AdMob's code in the game may collect:

WhatWhy
Device identifiers Including the advertising identifier, used to show ads and to measure them.
Advertising data Which ads were shown and whether you interacted with them.
Product interaction When an ad is requested and whether it was shown.
Approximate location An area estimated from your internet address, never your precise location.
Diagnostics Crash and performance information from the advertising software.

This is collected by Google, not by us. It may be used to personalise ads, to measure them and for analytics. Google's use of it is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Nothing is sold by us, and we receive no personal data.

The game also loads its lettering from Google Fonts, which, like any web server, sees the internet address of the request. No identifier is sent with it.

The game does not ask for your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera, and it holds no permission that would let it.

Your choices

Deleting your data

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to delete on request. Uninstalling the game removes everything it saved. The gameplay measurement is filed under a random id for the install, which we cannot link to you, and Google deletes it after at most 14 months. Other data held by Google is kept under its own policies; resetting your advertising identifier breaks its link to your device.

Children

The game is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything about them.

Changes

If what the game collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
