Delete your data

No Remorse Again keeps a leaderboard account for every player: a guest one, or one you signed in to with Google or Apple. You can delete it, and everything kept with it, from inside the game.

1. Delete your account

In the game — takes a few seconds

  1. On the main menu, tap the button with your callsign (top left) to open your Profile.
  2. Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
  3. Tap it again to confirm. If you signed in with Google or Apple, you may be asked to confirm with that account once more.

This erases at once your leaderboard row, your public profile (missions, achievements, charisma), the gifts you received, the cloud copy of your progress and the sign-in itself. The game then starts over on the phone as a new guest.

Can't open the game any more? Write to hellotentaculo@gmail.com with your callsign (and, if you signed in, whether it was with Google or Apple), and we will delete the account for you within 30 days.

2. Delete what is on your phone

On your phone — takes a minute

  1. Open Android Settings → Apps.
  2. Tap No Remorse Again (you may need See all apps first).
  3. Tap Storage & cache → Clear storage, and confirm.

Or simply uninstall the game: that deletes everything it saved on the phone. The wording of these menus varies a little between phone makers. Neither deletes your account: use step 1 for that.

If Android backup is switched on, a copy of the game's storage may also be in your own Google account backup, and could come back if you reinstall. That backup belongs to your Google account, not to us. Clearing storage before you uninstall means the next backup no longer holds your progress.

3. Reset or delete your advertising ID

Android settings

  1. Open Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some phones: Settings → Google → Ads).
  2. Tap Reset advertising ID to get a new one, or Delete advertising ID to remove it.

The game shows full-screen ads and optional videos you can watch for a reward, served by Google AdMob. Resetting or deleting the ID breaks the link between your phone and what Google AdMob has collected under the old one.

Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), you can also change your ad-consent choices at any time from Options → Privacy settings.

What exists, and what happens to it

WhatWhere it lives, and how long
Your accountA random account id, and, if you signed in, the Google or Apple sign-in (with Google: your Google account's email and name, kept by Firebase Authentication with the sign-in). Held by Google Firebase on our behalf, in the EU. Deleted by Delete account — see step 1.
Leaderboard and profileYour callsign and best score (public, on the leaderboard), and the missions, achievements and charisma on your profile (public to other players). Deleted by Delete account.
GiftsThe gifts other players sent you: who, which gift and when. Deleted by Delete account. Gifts you sent stay in the other players' lists, without your callsign.
Cloud copy of your progressCallsign, best and high score, achievements, missions played, refill videos watched and charisma, read only by your account. Deleted by Delete account.
On your phoneThe same progress, plus lives, settings (Morse delay, volume, vibration) and the players you blocked. Deleted when you clear the game's storage or uninstall it — see step 2.
Advertising IDCreated and kept by Android on your phone, not by us. Reset or delete it yourself — see step 3.
Ad data held by GoogleWhat Google AdMob collects to serve and measure ads (device identifiers, approximate location from your internet address, ad interactions, crash and performance data). Kept by Google under Google's own policies; we cannot see or delete it.
Gameplay measurementHow the game is played (missions and their scores, screens, the refill offer and your answer, app version, device model and approximate country), measured with Google Analytics for Firebase so faults can be found and the game balanced. Nothing personal is sent. It is filed under a random id for this install, not under any account, so clearing storage or uninstalling ends it; Google, as our processor, deletes what was already sent after at most 14 months. In the EEA and the UK it starts only once the consent question has been answered, and keeps an identifier on the phone only if you allowed storing information on your device.
Crash reportsIf the game crashes, a crash report goes to Google (Firebase Crashlytics). It is not linked to your account; Google deletes it automatically after 90 days, and uninstalling the game resets the id it is filed under.

This cannot be undone

We keep no other copy, so once your account is deleted we cannot restore it.
