Privacy and cookies

What this website measures, what it puts on your device, and how to say no without losing anything.

Last updated 7 October 2026 · Applies to the website tentaculogames.pt. The Android and iOS apps are covered by their own policies, one per game, linked from each game's store listing.

The short version

  • There are no accounts and no ads on this website.
  • We count visits with Google Analytics. It only stores a cookie if you press Accept on the bar at the bottom.
  • Press Refuse and nothing is stored on your device. Google still receives a hit with no identifier, so we can see that a page was read — it cannot be tied back to you or to your next visit.
  • You can change your mind at any time, at the bottom of this page.
  • The games you can play here in the browser carry no ads and no rewarded video.

What we measure

Google Analytics 4, property tentaculogames.pt. We look at it to know which games people open and where they came from. What it records:

WhatWhy
Pages viewedWhich game pages and policy pages are read, and in what order.
Where you came fromWhether you arrived from a search engine, a link, or typed the address.
Country and cityDerived by Google from your IP address, which Google does not give us.
Device and browserScreen size, browser and operating system, so the pages are built for what people actually use.
Scrolls, outbound clicks, downloadsGoogle Analytics measures these automatically. An outbound click is how we know someone went to a store listing.

We never upload your name, your email, or anything you type. There is nothing on this site to type into.

Cookies

Only if you press Accept:

CookieWhat it is for
_gaGoogle Analytics. A random number that lets Google tell a returning visitor from a new one. Lasts 2 years.
_ga_1Y27JN1738Google Analytics. Keeps the state of your current visit. Lasts 2 years.

Your answer to the bar is kept in your browser's local storage under tg_consent, not in a cookie, so that refusing cookies does not need a cookie. It never leaves your device.

Two things that happen whatever you answer

Fonts

The pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser asks fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com for them, and Google sees your IP address in that request. No cookie is set by it.

Server logs

The web server writes the usual line per request: your IP address, the time, the address asked for, the page you came from and your browser's user-agent string. It is how a server is debugged and how abuse is spotted. The log is kept for about two weeks and then deleted.

The games you can play here

Four games run in the browser on this site. They are the same games as on the stores, with the advertising removed:

GameWhat it does in your browser
Keep Rolling Keeps your progress in the browser, and creates an anonymous account with Google Firebase so the save and the leaderboard work. You can sign in with Google if you want the save on another device — only then does it learn your name and email. Its own policy.
No Remorse Again The same: progress in the browser, an anonymous Firebase account for the leaderboard. Its own policy.
Train Hard Keeps your progress in your own browser and sends nothing anywhere.
Walled City Keeps your progress in your own browser and sends nothing anywhere.

Clearing your browser's data for this site erases those saves. They are not backed up unless you signed in.

Your choice

This clears your answer and brings the bar back, so you can give or take back consent as easily as you gave it. It also deletes the Google Analytics cookies from this browser.

Your rights, and who to ask

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to it being collected at all. Write to hellotentaculo@gmail.com and say which it is. If you are in the EU and you think we handled it badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority; in Portugal that is the CNPD.

Analytics is collected with your consent, and you can take it back above. The server logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the site up and unabused.
